Now this is a cool guitar. It is a Gibson J-200 “Tree of Life.” It’s a one-of-a-kind creation of Ren Ferguson’s. This is the only Gibson I’ve ever seen which bears the name “Tree of Life.”
The inlays have been hand cut and engraved by Ren Ferguson. This inlay pattern is unique to this guitar and is much more ornate than the typical Gibson vine inlays, which are cut with CNC machines. The scroll-and-fleur-de-lis headstock inlay is particularly unique. The body of the guitar is also inlaid with abalone purfling on the top, back, and sides.
The guitar features highly flamed maple back and sides with a Sitka spruce top. The selected woods here are top quality. The fretboard is jet-black ebony- a nice contrast to the bright hues of the abalone and pearl inlays.
In the hunt for rare Gibsons, this one is truly a gem. Something like this rarely comes along.
The guitar is in mint condition. It has only minor finish checking and is otherwise flawless.
Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and paperwork.
