Here it is, the Holy Grail of modern Gibson acoustic guitars: an SJ-200 with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides!
These are extremely rare and highly sought-after.
As you may know, Gibson ceased all use of Brazilian rosewood on acoustic guitars in 2003. Since that time, Brazilian guitars have become more and more desirable every year.
This guitar also features an ebony fretboard and bridge, maple neck, and Adirondack spruce top. There truly is no better choice of woods.
The guitar is in very good condition. Some finish checking in the body and back of the headstock, as is expected. The nitro finish has shrunk a bit near the bridge and is starting to pull away. Some of the finish has flaked off in this area. This is a common occurrence on Gibsons from this era and is nothing to worry about. It is cosmetic only.
Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case.
